My late father was the tenth child of the Late Chief Moroundiya Atefatena Abati, the apena of Owu and Head of Ifa-Oracle in His days. My mother was Late Madam Juliana Omotola Abati (Nee Akinpelu) of Baase Compound Ago-Owu, Abeokuta and Abule Owu, Idi Igba via Sanusi Station. I really enjoyed my grand-mothers than my parents, that's why I determined to take care of my grand-children. May her soul rest in perfect peace. Amen. I attended Ago-Owu Baptist day school, from there to Baptist Girl's High School, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta. I was baptized by Late Pa. Rev. A.L. I joined David Akerele Memorial Hospital in 1939 as a trained nurse. I left for my marriage in 1941 and joined my husband, Late Mr. Frederick Abiodun Simplice in December 1941. When I came back from Enugu in 1943, I started work again with the Akereles in their Hospital. I was sent to Massey Hospital for practical work. When I came back, I became full midwife for years. I was in-charge of our three Hospitals as a Matron from 1955 to 1980. My children decided that I should retire on the 1st of April, 1980 which I did. I thank God for my life.
